Well, I turn 40 in two weeks, and I wanted to take some time to reflect on these first 40 years, and hope the next 40 are good to me :) I am enjoying my new job, and am learning a whole new way to do things. This new company is much more advanced than the last one I worked at, and I learn new things every day. My life is going very well now, as I have found my somebody and can finally say that I feel comfortable where I am. On December 30th I am going to celebrate my 40th birthday with my closest friend Steve (second only to my wife), who will be turning 40 one month after I do, and we are going to have much fun! (Actually my birthday is the 17th, but we are going to celebrate closer to the middle date between us)

Today I will remind myself to always be the optimist that I know I can be, and to always see the brighter side. I will also remind myself not to judge people by how they dress or where they live, but by what they do and say.

I will remind myself that age is only a number, but to be careful when applicable (I went sledding with my kids yesterday and hurt my foot when I impacted a snowbank) and remember I'm not quite as young as I once was.

I will remind myself that people count on me and love me, and people look up to me, even on days when I don't look up to myself.

But most importantly, above all, I will remember that my wife is my life sustaining moon revolving around Bobs Planet, and I will remember to give her all the attention and TLC that she deserves!

Bring on the next 40 years...I'm ready world!
